Welcome to KLB Indian Institute of Handloom Technology

The establishment of the IIHT in Telangana during the Academic year 2024 - 25 will not only help in expanding the base of handlooms and textiles in the state but also create more employment opportunities for the local population. The technical personnel trained at the institute will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to the growth of the handloom and textile industry in Telangana.

The Department of Handlooms & Textiles, Government of Telangana, headed by the Commissioner/Director of Handlooms & Textiles and AEPS, is responsible for smooth functioning of the Institute. It will also collaborate with industry partners to provide hands-on training and placement opportunities for the students.
